Filament Winding

It is a process that consists of the application of continuous fibers that are wound on a mandrel and emerge in a constant geometric pattern, being more sophisticated than the manual process (hand lay up). Winding continuous filaments of glass fibers in very exact patterns produces structures that have much stronger resistance characteristics than steel at much lower weights. The process is automated and repetitive with a high degree of accuracy, giving the structure an even thickness and a uniform mechanical resistance that is commendable.
